Experience

Charley specialises in public law matters, assisting parents and grandparents where social workers have become involved with families. She regularly represents parents who are vulnerable in their own right. 

Charley has particular experience in;

• public law care proceedings, 

• pre proceedings and child protection

• discharge of care proceedings

• secure accommodation proceedings 

• special guardianship 

• contact with children in care applications.

• Human Rights applications arising from care proceedings 

• placement proceedings

• opposing adoption

Charley has experience of being instructed by the Official Solicitor when parents lack capacity in care and placement proceedings.

Career

Charley has been working with Alsters Kelley Family Department since 2006, specialising in public law matters in 2010 and qualifying as a Chartered Legal Executive in 2013. Charley is currently working towards her full litigation rights over the coming months.

Charley has an excellent reputation as being a conscientious and dedicated professional striving for the best for her client . 

Hobbies

Charley enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading classics and modern, baking, arts and crafts and sports.
